Privacy policy

What this site collects (very little), why, and what happens to it.

Stack Plulse collects almost nothing. There are no accounts, no comment database and no ad trackers. Here is the full picture anyway, because you should not have to guess.

Who runs this site

Stack Plulse is an independent blog written and operated by one author. For any privacy question, open an issue on the site's GitHub repository or reach out on X — contact details are on the About page.

Analytics

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts page views without cookies and without collecting personal data or device fingerprints. What I can see: which pages get read, roughly from which country, and which site linked here. What I cannot see: who you are. There is no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, nothing that follows you around the web.

What your browser stores

The only thing stored on your device is a single localStorage entry that remembers whether you picked light or dark mode. Clearing your browser data removes it. No cookies are set for tracking, so you will never see a cookie consent banner here — there is nothing to consent to.

If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address is handled by Buttondown, a third-party email service. The address is used to deliver the newsletter and for nothing else. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Want the address deleted entirely? Unsubscribe, or ask me directly and it is gone.

Third-party services

The site relies on two services: Cloudflare (hosting, CDN and analytics) and Buttondown (newsletter delivery). Neither sells your data. Neither do I — there is no data here worth selling, which is by design.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA): this site does not sell or share personal data, does not run cross-site tracking, and has no profile to export or delete beyond your newsletter subscription. That is the honest summary, not legal decoration.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date below changes with it. Material changes — like introducing affiliate links — will also be disclosed on the page they affect.
